Everyday we wash our body, shave, shampoo, clip our nails, wash, and not to forget to dry the hair. For most people, personal grooming is a series of well-entrenched habits. In most cases it is over done. But would you be willing to change your routine if doing so made your skin look more attractive and better-looking?
For most over thirty adults commit one big mistake when it comes to washing by doing too much of it. They shower in the morning, after the gym and maybe even one before bedtime. It is not okay if you spend more than twelve minutes in the shower. five minutes is enough for your skin’s sake.
By washing too much will not just for cleanliness, but will remove too much oil from your skin, and irritated and itchy skin, particularly in the winter.
And if you are using a shower with the steam build up and without a water filter, you are subjecting yourself and your skin to excess chlorine.
Another bathing tips for your skin :
1. Use medium-warm water in the shower, not too cold, the cooler is better.
2. Avoid using a washcloth on the mucous membranes or other delicate areas. Use a soft sponge to massage your skin and a glycerine soap to move in one direction toward your heart.
3. For normal to dry skin, using Dove Unscented or Basis for Sensitive Skin will be good and either a soap free cleanser or nothing at all on mucous membranes. Some the commercial bar soap are harsh on the skin.
4. And if you have an oily skin, then use good gylcerine soap. This type of soap will remove enough oil without drying your skin.
5. Do shower as often as you can. This may not seem like appealing advice but the more time you have in between showers the better, especially in the winter.
This will allow your skin to produce and maintain its natural oils. Or if you don’t feel comfort with this advice, make an extra short shower on some days.
6. Use shampoos that contain mostly natural ingredients. Many commercial products contain synthetic chemicals, various dyes and artificial coloring or petrochemicals. All of these synthetic chemicals are extremely bad for you skin and body health. Some chemicals are need to avoid.
Take some time for to look over your shower habits and improve the health of your skin just by reduce your shower time, using water filter to remove toxins from the water, massage your skin and use natural products only for your hair and skin.
