Tom Cruise and fiancee Katie Holmes spent weeks thrashing out the details of the financial agreement, which determines who gets which assets if they ever split. They have signed a $40 million pre-nuptial agreement. An $15 million trust has been set up for Katie and her baby regardless of whether the couple wed. But if they do marry and later divorce, the beauty will receive an extra $25 million from Cruise. Let’s make clear the statement, $15 million trust for Katie and the baby if they never marry, and another $25 million if the marriage goes bust, meaning nothing’s standing in their way anymore. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes reportedly decided to get married this July now their pre-nup has been finalized. Katie Holmes has been out of the pubic eye since the birth, while Tom Cruise has been very much in sight. Cruise has been globe-trotting in support of his upcoming blockbuster movie, Mission: Impossible 3. Cruise just finished the premiere of M:I:3 in Mexico City, and will be in attendance at the Tribeca Film Festival tomorrow for the United States debut of the film, which will open to the public on May 5th.
Tom Cruise has allegedly signed his fiancee up to a “Buff Brides” exercise course to help her shed about 18kg before their upcoming nuptials. Katie Holmes is said to be proud of Tom’s commitment to her and to getting her fit again after the birth of Suri. However, Tom Cruise didn’t make a fan out of Katie’s father Martin. Media reports that Martin Holmes told Reveal magazine that “My daughter needs rest, relaxation and recuperation. Katie is already doing exercises to build up her back and shoulders and I simply can’t go along with what is happening.”
Fitness guru Brad Kaufman, who trains Katie, said: “She has great motivation. The wedding is on the fast track. We’ve been told to get Katie into amazing shape. It’s all systems go.”
Tom is such a regular fixture on the sidelines of adopted kids Connor and Isabella’s soccer and baseball games, he thanked the ever-present paparazzi for never being a nuisance and actually paying attention to how his kids are playing. Since Suri’s birth, he can’t go more than two sentences without gushing about how cute she is and how much he loves diaper duty. While in Paris, he skipped out of a press conference to buy baby clothes.
And while all the chatter about the post-pregnancy Katie Holmes, Brooke Shields spoke out about the irony of giving birth to her baby on the same floor of the same hospital on the same day as Katie Holmes. Brooke Shields showed little sign of her pregnancy when she was spotted at the premiere of Over the Hedge. Shields wanted to say that she had put her public spat with Tom Cruise behind her.
