Wannabe pop-star Paris Hilton has penned a song about her ex-best friend Nicole Richie branding her “jealous”. The Simple Life co-stars had a falling out in January last year and have refused to divulge the reason behind their split.
As we all know, Hilton is preparing to attack our delicate ears with, gasp, a pop album, in a thinly-disguised track titled ‘Jealously’, which will feature on her upcoming debut album, Hilton places seems to use it as a thinly-veiled dig and the blame with Nicole.
In an interview with Out magazine, Hilton said the song is about any girl with a jealous friend.
“It’s a song about any girl. Any girl has a girlfriend that’s jealous of you. It’s the meanest, most evil thing that can take over you,†spits Paris.
“It’s the meanest, most evil thing that can take over you,” she says.
Then, on a completely different subject, Ms Hilton just happens to mention Nicole: “I brought Nicole on The Simple Life, and all of a sudden she became this different person. She dropped her old friends and now she’s someone else. That’s not the girl I know.â€
And, just in case you’ve not got the link yet, she spells it our for us: “That’s similar to the lyrics in Jealousy.â€
Meanwhile, Nicole Richie says she has never watched former best friend Paris Hilton’s sex tape because it would “gross” her out. The ‘Simple Life’ star was alleged to have fallen out with the sexy socialite after showing the now infamous home made X-rated movie, ‘One Night In Paris’, to friends at a party.
Stick-thin Richie and the hotel heiress ended their life-long friendship last year after a mysterious falling out – which meant they had to film the entire fifth series of their hit reality TV show The Simple Life separately.
Now Richie has sought to set the record straight following rumours they fell out after Hilton walked in on her pal holding a screening of the notorious sex-tape, filmed with Paris’ ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon.
On the video - which was released by Paris’ ex-boyfriend, Rick Solomon - the hotel heiress is seen involved in a number of sex acts, including full penetrative sex and oral, and also performs a racy striptease.
She says that never happened, explaining, “A, I don’t watch porn. And B, I don’t want to see someone I’ve known forever having sex. I mean, that’s gross!â€
She tells Vanity Fair, “When I got out of rehab, I had to figure out what path to go down, and part of that included taking certain people out of my life. I just decided I didn’t want to be her friend anymore. We’re just two completely different people. We don’t have that much in common.”
