Dina Lohan, Lindsay’s Lohan’s manager-mom, will pen a “how-to” book for showbiz moms that will detail the role she played in her daughter’s Hollywood success, according to Star magazine. Dina also manages the career of her other daughter Ali, 12, who is recording a holiday album slated for release this year. Ali also is in talks for TV and movie deals.
During an interview with Dina at her home in Merrick, N.Y., Dina told Star’s David Caplan, “I get so much mail each week from people asking me for advice. They ask me how I did it, they ask me how to find a good agent. I get hundreds of questions each week, so I just figured, instead of answering every question, I’ll put it in a book and help people.”
“I remember the first time Ali read something derogatory about Lindsay having breast implants,” Dina Lohan said. She was like, ‘That is sooo not true!’ Now we just laugh about it!”
Dina said of the book, which she says is nearly written, “It’s basically how to manage and how this all happened. It’s about avoiding pitfalls. It’s really to help other people. I learned something and I want to share it. And people want to know.”
In the interview, Dina Lohan, a Merrick resident, disputes her daughter’s image as a party girl and the notion that she’s a party mom. “It’s completely untrue,” she said. “We will go to dinners together and events, of course, but I don’t go out with my daughter when she’s going out with her college friends. It’s just silly.”
Dina also blasts the portrayal of Lindsay as a party girl. “Lindsay’s very normal. A couple years back rumors started that Lindsay was a party girl and this and that. She’s a teenager — they love to dance.”
