Angelina Jolie will be a mom by June 3. The actress and partner Brad Pitt have flown their obstetrician/gynecologist to Namibia’s Burning Shore resort where the couple are preparing for labor. And, according to Life & Style, the medic will induce labor at the beginning of next month unless due Jolie delivers naturally before then.
A local Namibian doctor, who examined Jolie earlier this week, tells Life & Style, “She’s in great physical and mental shape. I don’t think there’s going to be a problem with the baby or the mother.”
Angelina Jolie is all set to give birth in Africa, and she is determined to give her child not only Africal citizenship but also an exotic name! Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt he learned that Angelina Jolie thinks about giving a baby name from a Namibian name. Maddox and Zahara have legally had their surname changed to Jolie-Pitt.
Samuel Nuuyoma, the governor of the Namibian province where the family is staying, has been quoted as saying he would visit the hospital and name the baby.
“No. No. That’s absolutely not true,” Nuuyoma, who has met the couple, told The Associated Press on Wednesday. “I never said such a thing. Never in history,” he said, abruptly ending the phone conversation.
Popular Namibian girls’ names include Ndapewa and Himeezembi. However, it’s been rumoured that Angelina would simply name the baby “Africa.” “Angelina could decide to name her baby after a plant or tribe or an animal,” local insider observed.
The name Angelina is an alternative spelling of Angiolina, which actually means “little angel” in Italian. Jolie in French means “pretty.”
Meanwhile, Brad Pitt is the latest celebrity to catch the attention of child care experts after he was photographed cycling with his adopted baby daughter. Photos taken last week appear to show Pitt cycling in the village of Langstrand with the young tot riding on his back in a papoose.
Child expert Debra Smiley Holtzman, author of “The Safe Baby,” says, “Zahara needs a helmet and closed-toe shoes. And I highly recommend toddlers ride in a child trailer pulled by a bike. It’s more stable and secure.”
“Baby Talk” magazine editor Christina Vercelletto adds, “(Makers of the papoose) specifically say, ‘Do not use while riding a bike.’ It will affect your balance. The safest place for her would be in a toddler bike seat.”
Pitt, a pregnant Jolie and their children Zahara and Maddox are holidaying under tight security at an exclusive African resort as the due date nears, and the Namibian government has threatened to expel anyone trying to cover the birth without permission. Foreign journalists wanting to cover the birth must have written permission from the Hollywood stars to enter the country, and anyone who doesn’t have their OK could be expelled, the Namibian government has said.
Since they arrived in the sleepy coastal town of Walvis Bay last month, they have been shielded by their own bodyguards and Namibian police at the luxury Burning Shores resort hotel.
Last month, the couple’s security chief gave a local journalist a statement signed by Pitt and Jolie asking that they be left alone. Photographers have gotten a few shots, but for the most part, they have had to settle for photos of large, green barriers set up on the beach to block the view of prying lenses.
Namibians are aware that Pitt and Jolie’s presence has increased the international profile of the country’s brilliant scenery and plentiful wildlife. An informal poll by Namibian station Radio Wave determined that listeners were evenly divided on whether the day Jolie gives birth should be declared a national holiday, according to the station’s Web site.
