The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta Thursday recommended that 11- and 12-year-old girls be routinely vaccinated by Merck`s cervical-cancer vaccine Gardasil against the sexually transmitted virus that causes cervical cancer. The panel also recommended that doctors could administer the vaccine to girls as young as 9 years of age at the physicians and parents discretion, and for women up to age 26 who have not previously been vaccinated against the sexually transmitted human papillomavirus (HPV).
But some educators and conservative groups say decisions about the vaccine should be left to parents. “We think this is a matter of parental rights and parental control,” said Peter Sprigg of the conservative Family Research Council. “Parents have the rights to make these decisions for their kids.” Read more of Cervical Cancer Vaccine Recomendation For Pre-Teen Girls

There is something about a pair of sunglasses that makes them arguably one of the most quintessential ‘must-have’ items of all time. Not only are they immensely practical, offering protection from the dangers of the sun, they are an enormously versatile fashion accessory, available in a huge range of styles, colors and prices to suit every pocket. Given their worldwide popularity, sunglass manufacturing has become a very lucrative, but highly competitive industry and while some manufacturers rise and wane in the public affections, there is one company that remains forever synonymous with the eyeglasses that protect our eyes from the rays of the sun: Ray-Ban
Although Us President, Benjamin Franklin, is often credited with inventing eyeglasses (he was the one who developed the first bifocal lens in the 1780′s), the first reading glasses were developed in Italy, as early as 1260. People continued to be fascinated by all things optical throughout the centuries that followed, then, in the mid-eighteen hundreds British scientist James Ayscough began to research tinted glass, and the possibility that such technology may be used to improve vision impaired eyesight. Here???s what you can realistically do right now to lessen the appearance of cellulite, which in turn will provide you with the body confidence you need to hit the fashion road:
1. Drink water-lots of it! Downing at least six to eight glasses of this naturally calorie-free beverage every day helps flush excess toxins out of your body that could wind up on your thighs and butt. Pour it into a fancy goblet and add plenty of ice cubes to make this drink even more appealing. Herbal teas also seem to help in the fight against ripply fat, and are an appealing alternative to diet colas.
2. Have a cup of coffee. Surprise! A little caffeine will help boost your circulation, which will discourage the formation of more cellulite. Read more of 12 Top Ways To Beat Cellulite
The world has watched with admiration as Warren Buffett, the legendary investor, has made his fortune over the years. Now they can watch the second richest person in the world join forces with the richest to give it away.
This weekend seems surprising at first that the world’s second richest man, the investor Warren Buffett, plans to donate $31bn of his $44bn fortune to the Bill and Melinda Gates charitable foundation, established by the only man who outranks him in riches created by the founder of Microsoft.
Combined with the foundation’s existing $35bn assets, and Mr Gates’ own pledge to donate most of his remaining personal wealth, estimated at $50bn, the total will surpass even in real terms the best known philanthropists of modern history, Andrew Carnegie, John D Rockefeller and Henry Ford. Erin McNaught, the Miss Universe Australia pageant is in turmoil after raunchy topless photo shoot of the newly crowned title holder appeared in a men’s magazine. Furious officials yesterday said Erin McNaught was not fit to wear the crown after topless pictures of her were published in men’s magazine Zoo Weekly. They show McNaught, Gold Coast model, in various stages of undress- skimpy underwear, topless or next to nothing.
The director of the pageant denied judges had made a mistake in picking McNaught, who is studying for a science degree at the Queensland University of Technology, and insisted she would still go on to represent the country at the international competition in Los Angeles next month.
Erin’s mother, Lin McNaught, said the pictures were taken long before this month’s Miss Australia competition in Melbourne and that organisers had known about them at the time of her entry before Erin was appointed Miss Universe Australia.
