Ways To Beat CelluliteHere’s what you can realistically do right now to lessen the appearance of cellulite, which in turn will provide you with the body confidence you need to hit the fashion road:

1. Drink water-lots of it! Downing at least six to eight glasses of this naturally calorie-free beverage every day helps flush excess toxins out of your body that could wind up on your thighs and butt. Pour it into a fancy goblet and add plenty of ice cubes to make this drink even more appealing. Herbal teas also seem to help in the fight against ripply fat, and are an appealing alternative to diet colas.

2. Have a cup of coffee. Surprise! A little caffeine will help boost your circulation, which will discourage the formation of more cellulite.

3. Add pizzazz to your meals. Dr. Fleming and other experts have found certain herbs help foil the formation of more cellulite deposits. Among them are ginger, fennel, garlic, onion, cayenne, pepper, rosemary, cinnamon and cloves.

4. Eat a healthy diet. Ho, hum, you’ve heard this advice before, but it’s true – a diet rich in fresh fruit and vegetables goes a long way towards preventing the formation of more unsightly ripples and bumps. Steer clear of refined, processed foods, fats and excess sodium. Don’t over-do the dieting, though – Dr. Fleming suggests a 1,300 calorie-a-day diet that calls far a one-to three-pound weight-loss per week.

5. Go fish. This source of protein is high in Omega-3 fatty acids (EFA’s), which helps slow the rate at which fat is released into your body. Indulge yourself – top a grill. Better still, invite your friends to a barbecue and share this tasty treat!

6. Get moving. There’s no getting around it – exercise is THE best way to beat all-over body flab as well as fat stored as cellulite. Any physical activity that sets your gluteal and leg muscles into motion is a great choice. Swimming, biking and walking are especially appealing when the weather is warm. Slather exposed areas of your body with sunscreen before heading outdoors, and bring along plenty of water to keep your body well-hydrated.

7. Take the stairs! Walking up and down stairs gives tour legs and rear a good workout, and you’ll see a positive difference in your lower body within a month of regular stair-climbing. Get of month off the elevator a couple of floors below your office if you can’t quite handle the entire trip just yet, and gradually add flights as your fitness level and stamina improve.

8. Give this fat brush-off. Some skin-care experts recommend brushing the affected area to cleanse and stimulate the lymph system, which is responsible for removing toxins from your body. It is recommended that you use a firm, real-bristle brush for this treatment. Brush briskly over the area every day for five minutes, brushing upwards towards the heart, until your skin is pink. Do not use a heavy hand, and do not brush bruised, infected or broken skin.
After brushing, treat yourself to a shower or bath. Use your favorite bath gel, mixed with a handful of granulated sugar, to exfoliate your skin, and pay special attention to the area that has just been brushed.
It doesn’t take long to notice the effect of brushing and bathing. Approximately seven days after starting this treatment, your skin should be a bit smoother and firmer.
If you wish, try using a water massager to spray your butt and thighs with warm, then cold water. Such a move gives your circulation a jolt, which in turn will lessen your chances of developing more cellulite.

9. Massage those ripples away. Such a move increases circulation to the affected area, which in turn will make that fat less noticeable.

10. Smooth that cellulite away (for now). Want the fastest possible results? Apply a anti-cellulite cream or lotion to afflicted areas. Research suggests that such treatments can provide temporary concealment by tightening the skin over ripply, bumpy fat. Dr. Fleming suggests using a cream that contains one of three ingredients:
Escin: This horse chestnut tree extract appears to improve circulation, and has been used to treat varicose veins.
Topical retinoids: These substances remove the top layer of skin, which decreases the amount of puckering in cellulite-affected areas. Your skin will look smoother as a result.
Aloe vera: This popular ingredient has been proven to boost circulation within the body.

11. Wrap it up. Body wraps are another temporary solution to a cellulite problem. Not only does this treatment make those ripples “disappear”, but you can “lose” several inches off your lower body in time for a big ‘do. Just don’t expect this effect to last more than a couple of days.

12. Try a new type of treatment. Endemologie has only been around for a few years, but many European women swear by it. Cellulite expert dr. Fleming believes in it, too; as he explains, it’s “the only beauty therapy for cellulite that has been proven to work by clinical trials.”
How does it work? Dr. Fleming explains that “cellulite is housed in no-uniform cells, like boxes, which don’t stand up straight. Sucking these with endermologie will pull the boxes back into shape and give a smoother look.” The procedure uses either a strong suction hose or a vacuum-type laser to provide a deep tissue massage. This action purportedly massages and drains lymph cells and breaks down fatty deposits as well.
Endermologie is not cheap. One 30-minute treatment can cost $100 and up. As with any such procedure, you want a reputable practitioner to perform this treatment; it’s wise to look around and ask questions before your first session.
