But Nick had already started dating sultry MTV host Vanessa Minnillo and he has been with his new gal for about two months. Nick Lachey has been reportedly telling friends how much he likes Vanessa Minnillo because she???s different from his ex-wife Jessica Simpson.
A friend of Vanessa has told Us Weekly that ???Nick keeps telling Vanessa the difference between her and Jessica is that she is extremely intelligent.???
And oh yes, let’s not forget what the gossipsphere tells us… that Minnillo also happily supplies loverboy Lachey with lusty lap dances, as is rumored to have happened “several” times on July 28 at the Butter Lounge in NYC.

According to ITW, she even passed on a night out in Manhattan for take out BBQ from Blue Smoke in her room at the Soho Grand.
“Jessica has been on a few dates,” a pal tells the magazine. “But she still compares other men to Nick. She knows she has to stop doing that but she was in love with him for so long.”
