Desperate Housewives Sex Scene Hits YouTube
Nearly a month before a hot sex scene from an upcoming episode of ABC’s “Desperate Housewives” was to air in prime time, it was leaked to YouTube. The bosses of hit TV series Desperate Housewives have launched an investigation to find out how a racy sex scene clip titled “Desperate Housewives – unaired scene” from an upcoming episode made it to the YouTube.com site. “This video has been removed at the request of copyright owner Disney because its content was used without permission,” was the message that greeted YouTube visitors who tried to call up the clip after Disney’s protest.
The scene apparently features Bree (series star Marcia Cross) and new boy-toy Orson (Kyle MacLachlan) in bed, with the underwear-clad housewife protesting her partner’s attempt at a certain intimate sexual act, oral sex. “I don’t do that,” she says. “I’m a Republican.”
“I believe in minimizing the role of the state and maximizing individual rights. Trust me, I know what I’m doing.” Orson then disappears offscreen while the camera cuts to a shot of a running faucet filling up a sink containing dirty dishes. As the sink runneth over, well, so does Bree.
ABC insists that no one at the network purposely leaked the footage in an attempt to increase interest in the show after what critics, fans and even producers agreed was a disappointing last season.
A source tells the steamy scene is still expected to air, but perhaps with trims to what some feel might be too prolonged a climax for the Wisteria Lane redhead. ???We are looking into the unauthorized clips on YouTube, and will be having them taken down,??? says an ABC rep, not realizing this is the most interesting thing to happen with Housewives in a year.
Although networks increasingly rely on the Internet for promotion of their series, the possibility of pirated clips making their way online could threaten shows trying to keep plot twists a secret.
If Republicans can learn to enjoy oral sex, perhaps they won???t reproduce quite so often 
Desperate Housewives kicks off its third season Sept. 24.
