Skinny models banning campaign still continues, though the London Fashion Week has not applied Madrid???s “no skinny models” rule, the event is being overshadowed by the weighty debate. The Clothes Show Live at the NEC stepped into the campaign against stick-thin models yesterday when it pledged not to use girls who are too skinny.
Organisers Haymarket Exhibitions have pledged no size two models (American size 00) will be appearing at the Fashion Theatre at the event in December. Boss Gavin Brown said: “Girls do not need to be a size 00 to make it as a model or look good. To prove this, none of the gorgeous models in our December show will be size 00.”

In the past, top models such as Jodie Kidd, Naomi Campbell, Karen Mulder and Caprice have graced its catwalks. But as the skinny model banning campaign rolling, organisers said there was a need to “set a responsible example” to the thousands of visitors to the show. More than a week after her son mysteriously died beside her hospital bed, Anna Nicole Smith remained out of sight in the Bahamas on Tuesday as officials said only that his death was not a suicide or homicide. In Touch reports that Daniel’s death is now believed to have been caused by a lethal combination of anti-depressant and sleeping pills – not a suicide, but two drugs that should have not been taken simultaneously for both problems.
Daniel’s body has been released to a funeral home in Nassau, before it is returned to California. A jury inquest is scheduled for October 23.

An expert hired by Anna Nicole Smith to perform a second autopsy on her dead son,Daniel Smith, has returned an inconclusive verdict. Oriana Fallaci, one of Italy’s most well-known journalists, who in recent years took a provocative inflammatory writings stance against Muslims and Islam, has died in hospital overnight following a long illness, the Italian news agency ANSA said on Friday aged 77. Italian media said Ms Fallaci died in her home town of Florence after battling cancer for several years.

Debra Lafave, Tampa Middle School teacher, appeared on NBC’s Dateline with Matt Lauer this evening speaking out about her illegal relationship with her fourteen year old student. After being convicted of having sex with a 14-year-old boy, her student in a middle school, the 25-year old Lafave received a cushy plea deal in Florida and sentenced Lafave to just three years of house arrest and 7 years of probation. She could have gotten 30 years in state prison.
She said in television interview that she was deeply troubled at the time and ???crossed the line that never should???ve been crossed???. She added: “At that period in my life, I didn’t feel like an adult. I was crashing fast.” Lafave said that an early, abusive relationship with an older boy forever tainted her view of sex.
