There may soon be a Brangelina wedding on the cards, for actress Angelina Jolie reportedly allegedly made her dying mom a promise that she would tie the knot with boyfriend Brad Pitt. Both Pitt and Jolie were reportedly by Marcheline Bertrand’s bedside when she lost her seven year battle with ovarian cancer January 27 at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in LA. Jolie is reported to have made the pledge hours before her beloved mother’s passing, sparking speculation of a marriage within months.
A close friend of the family said: “Marcheline held Angie’s hand and told her, ‘You marry that man. He’s an angel sent to look after you’.”

This year’s New York Fashion Week theme was “celebrated women”. Models from media, journalism, sports, music and the arts donned red designer outfits specially created for the event by designers showcasing their collections at New York’s Fashion Week.

New York Fashion Week is in full swing with one of the most talked about shows being by feminine and flirty dresses designer Tracy Reese. “It is very glamorous,” Reese said about her new designs. “It is very modern. It is going forward. Lengths are shorter. Silhouettes are refreshed. We are doing more volume on top, maybe a little bit less on the bottom. We are still playing with trapeze dresses but we also have a lot of lean dresses. There is a good juxtaposition. Early findings from the St. Louis University study, presented Sunday at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) in Washington, D.C., suggested a link between an increased risk of skin cancer on the left side of the body and frequent driving. Drivers who spend a lot of time behind the wheel increase their risk of skin cancer, US scientists have said.
“Since previous scientific findings have shown an association between one-sided exposure to ultraviolet light (UV) and an asymmetric facial distribution of sun damage, we would expect that skin cancers also would be more prevalent on the left side of the body in drivers who spend a significant amount of time in their cars,” Dr. Scott Fosko, professor and chairman of dermatology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, said.
