Why does my period always stop when I’m changing jobs?
It’s probably stress. An excess of the stress hormone cartisol can throw your sex hormones out of balance. In some women, the glands that produce sex hormones are more sensitive to the effects of stress than others.
Can you get pregnant when you’re having your period?
If you have short cycles, it’s possible. Most Women ovulate 14 days before their period, but the time between menstruation and ovulation varies. If you have a 28-day cycle, you are likely to ovulate on day 14 (28 - 14 = 14); if your cycle lasts 21 days, you are likely to ovulate on day 7 (21 - 14 =7). So, if you have sex on the last day of a six-day period, you’ll have sperm inside you on the seventh day, when you ovulate, and could conceive.
I bleed after my period ends and sometimes I get cramps.
If you’re on the Pill, you may be experiencing breakthrough bleeding, in which small amounths of staining and sometimes cramps occur at various points in the cycle. It isn’t dangerous, but you may wish to change your Pill. If you’re not on the Pill, see your doctor: it may be a vaginal infection, a hormonal imbalance or a polyp or growth in or on the cervix
