Chilean former Miss Universe Cecilia Bolocco, wife to Argentine former president Carlos Menem, has been raising eyebrows since a local magazine published pictures of her sunbathing topless with a male friend. Photographs published last week showing Bolocco, 41, sunbathing topless in Miami with an Italian friend, but the 76-year-old former leader told Santiago daily Las Ultimas Noticias that the separation was not related.
The 1987 Miss Universe and host of a popular TV reality show in Chile, was photographed sunbathing topless at her Miami home along with a man identified as Italian businessman Luciano Marocchino.
Former Argentine President Carlos Menem says he has separated from his wife, former Miss Universe Cecilia Bolocco, a Chilean newspaper reports. For being a total sleazeball, he got to marry Cecilia Carolina Bolocco, who is one of a few people on this planet who can truthfully state on her resume that she’s a former Miss Universe. “There is no legal separation, but yes, we are separated because living together had become impossible,” Menem said. “We keep a very beautiful friendship, which does not exclude love.”
Menem said the only thing that unites him and Bolocco now is their 3-year-old son, Maximo.
Menem added that for some time ???we had an agreement with Cecilia to make of our lives what we considered most convenient??? but described the publication of the pictures a violation of privacy for Bolocco.
“It`s serious mischief to invade people`s private lives just to earn a few pesos,” he added.
Both Bolocco, 41, and Marocchino, 53, who represents the Miss Universe organisation in New York, denied to reporters any romantic relationship. Alejandra Valle, who edits SPQ, the magazine that ran the photos, said that Bolocco called to say she was worried about the effect the pictures would have on her family. “I’m afraid that Carlitos will suffer a heart attack,” Bolocco said, referring to her husband, according to Valle.
The photographer who snapped the pictures, Angel Mora, has not released even more explicit pictures he has of Bolocco, according to the daily La Tercera.
