Cynthia Rodriguez, Alex Rodriguez’ wife made a bad fashion statement and getting some attention for a tank top she wore to watch the New York Yankees play the Oakland A’s. She appearing in a tight shirt with the F-Bomb written on the back of her tank top and visible over the seat to anyone who cared to look at Yankee Stadium, including the camera which snapped this photo.
Who she was sending the message to – her cheating hubby A-Rod or the ever-intrusive media – is unclear. But what is clear is that this woman is fed up. So much so that she was willing to offend those seated nearby, including young children and families. Seated next to Cynthia was the couple’s two-year-old daughter, Natasha.
The team’s policy prohibits any banners or signs that are not in “good taste.” It also states that security guards will also eject any guests “using foul language” or “making obscene gestures.”
At this time it isn’t clear who the target of Cynthia’s F-bomb is: Yankee fans, Red Sox fans, Yankee management, the media – or maybe even her wandering husband.
Cynthia Rodriguez was a psychology teacher and vollyball player. They were married at a private wedding ceremony in romantic Dallas Texas in November 2002. The sporting couple have four dogs – a Golden Labrador named Shorty, two German Sheperds named Ripper and Gypsy, and one stray husband named Alex.
Earlier that week, the newspaper claimed Rodriguez had dined at a restaurant with the blonde Sunday night before heading to a Toronto strip-club with her.
Picture of Alex Rodriguez with a blond woman, later identified as a Las Vegas stripper, entering a joint in Canada, were published by the New York Post a little over a month ago, stirring one of the biggest baseball player controversy this year. Back then, Cynthia Rodriguez declined to comment and stood by her husband. Betting odds on a future Rodriguez divorce were also available.
The New York Post was again the lucky one to take the picture, which they published under the headline “F-Rod”. According to the Post, the steamed parents of some young Yankees fans alerted ballpark security about the vulgar shirt, which may have violated stadium policy.
