Swedish women are fighting a new sexual revolution - the right to go topless at pools and beaches. They taking their tops off at public swimming pools in a protest against what they call gender-biased rules on swimwear. There was outrage from Swedish feminists after two women were asked by a lifeguard at a public pool near Stockholm to keep their breasts covered up.
Wall Street Journal has compiled a list of 50 women from across the world in its “The 50 Women to Watch” list for 2007 saying, “a new generation of women leaders who grew up watching pioneering women break into the executive suite has moved into the corner offices of some of the world’s largest companies.” It’s an annual ranking of women who Journal editors “believe have the potential to make a significant impact on business in the year ahead.”
Real women don’t just have curves, they also are smarter, live longer and give birth to smarter children, women with curvy figures are likely to be brighter than waif-like counterparts and may well produce more intelligent offspring, a US study suggests. Going in at the waist is said to be a sign of intelligence which leads to brighter children, too. Jessica Nicole Trisko, 23, known for her intellectual prowess has been given an honour for her beauty and may have to put her PhD studies on hold to reign as “Miss Earth 2007.” Trisko, who stands 5’10″ and weighs 135 lb., was crowned by Chile’s Hil Hernandez, last year’s Miss Earth.
