Guitarist and backup vocalist of the band Good Charlotte Benji Madden may soon be popping the question to ladylove Paris Hilton. Benji Madden, 29, has dropped a hint that he may marry heiress Paris Hilton — two months after dating her publicly for the first time. The Good Charlotte singer and guitarist told US radio interviewer Michael Yo: “I always knew that she was, like, wife material, or serious girlfriend material.”
Of the rumours going around that he and Hilton are getting engaged this year, he refused to make a comment. However he did reveal their feelings for one another. “We were in love before anyone even knew we were together”, he added.
Despite his rock image, Madden dedicated a love song to his girlfriend named “Shine Your Light”. Paris was deeply touched by the gesture and said it was the nicest thing anybody had ever done for her.

The brother of Paris Hilton’s boyfriend Benji Madden has sparked rumours that the couple are about to tie the knot by introducing her as his “sister-in-law”. A source told The Mirror: “A lot of people have brushed it off as a publicity stunt but Benji is serious about Paris and he has discussed marriage plans with his brother - which is why Joel called her his sister-in-law. “He said it in a jokey way, but from the sound of things it’s only a matter of time.”

Paris Hilton’s parents say her relationship with ‘Good Charlotte’ rocker Benji Madden is “the real thing.” The socialite’s mother Kathy Hilton tells Vegas Luxe Life magazine that Paris and Benji are a “great love match.”
“This has honestly become the real thing. It’s a great love match, and I have a funny feeling it’s going to go all the way, and we’ve already given it our approval,” Hilton told the magazine.
And what does Paris’ father think about Benji? “He’s the perfect example of ‘don’t judge a book by its cover.’ He’s polite, well mannered – even calls me sir. We love him like family already,” Rick Hilton added.

A pal of the Maddens tells us: “Paris and Nicole are on good terms now, but it wasn’t very long ago that they decided to cut all ties. “Their friendship is very turbulent, and the last thing Joel wants is the mother of his baby girl getting stressed.
“Also Benji was engaged to Aussie model Sophie just a few days before he started dating Paris, and Joel just wanted to make sure he knew what he was doing - because the rest of their pals think he’s crazy.”
However, it looks like this might all be wishful thinking. When reached for comment, a rep for Paris told OK! that any rumors of an impending wedding between the celebutante and her rocker beau are “false.”
