Celine Dion Had Struggled in Naming Her Baby Twin

If other parents have already prepared names for their babies long before they were born, Celine Dion admitted she had to struggle with names when welcoming her newborn twin boys. The best way she could refer those babies was by calling them Baby A and Baby B.
The 42 year-old singer, who gave birth to her second and third sons on October 23, 2010 said she didn’t name them at the hospital and waited about a week instead.
On The Oprah Winfrey Show, Celine told Oprah how frustrated her husband, Rene Angelil was about the names because they really didn’t prepare any.
“Rene said, ‘Listen, people are starting to call me. What’s their names? I can’t tell them A and B again – that’s not working,’” said Dion quoting her husband’s words.
Not only her husband, Dion herself was confused with the nickname she gave the babies and even contemplated using different initials at one point.
“Stop [with] the As and the Bs. I’m going to do C [and] Ds right now. My name is Céline Dion with a C and a D, so don’t push me because I’m close to the edge!” she said when she was confused on figuring out which one the baby A or B was because she thought their hats were switched.
The couple later named the twins Eddy and Nelson. The name Eddy was taken from Eddy Marnay, Dion’s record producer, and Nelson was taken from Nelson Mandela, human rights campaigner and former South African President, whom the star met about two years ago.
The twins were conceived after six in vitro fertilization (IVF) attempts and were released from hospital on October 28, 2010 after requiring medical attention due to being born premature.
The family is now settled into their Jupiter Island, Fla., mansion, and Dion is about to head to Las Vegas as she has a new show at the Colosseum at Caesars beginning March 15.
Dion said she didn’t have words to describe how happy she is now with her family; she could only say that all the love and everything she felt inside are bigger than life itself.
