From the name, everyone may have realized that we are going to talk about a male model. But considering his long blonde hair, slender build and delicate features, who would have guessed that he is actually a male supermodel? He even models for both ladies and men’s collection on the same catwalk of a Sao Paulo Show.

At Sao Paulo Fashion Week, the 19-year-old Andrej Pejic appeared for the collections of a Brazilian designer, Lino Villaventura. He wore a white shirt and black high-waisted baggy trousers with a single suspender that looked like a tie when he first stepped out on the catwalk. To add a pirate-inspired look, he wore a headdress falling over one eye and completed the male fashion look with a velvet jacket and polished pointed boots.

But that was only the start, as for the show’s finale, the Serbian-born beauty was completely transformed as female when he appeared in a pleated pewter-colored evening gown, wearing heels on his feet, and hair still pulled back but with a different headdress. To make him ‘more women-like’ his lips was dabbed with a berry-hued lip stain.

Prior to the show, Pejic made headlines when he ranked 98th in FHM magazine’s list of the world’s sexiest women. He was even predicted to be one of Victoria’s Secret Model one day. But long before that, Pejic who grew up in Australia used to work in McDonalds. The French fashion house, Louis Vuitton, recently made a breakthrough by announcing their teenage ‘new face’, Nyasha Maronhodze.

Nyasha, who was only 16 years old, had just begun her modeling career two years ago, after winning the UK Elite Model Look competition in 2009. Found by a talent scout of a modeling agency near her home in Northamptonshire, England, the Zimbabwe born model was then invited to London to attend the competition, still wearing her high school uniform.

Her winning soon dashed her name in the fashion industry with her debut show at London Fashion week, representing the work of Louise Gray, Clements Ribeiro, and Jonathan Saunders. She also made appearance at the fashion shows of Loewe, Emanuel Ungaro, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, and later Louis Vuitton in Paris, where she caught the attention of the fashion house.

Nyasha, who was claimed to be a tomboy, recently represented the haute couture collections ad campaign of Louis Vuitton, directed by Marc Jacobs, the house’s creative director.
