Addictive sexual behaviors put distance between people, in contrast with the closeness and intimacy they experience with genuine love.

Some of addictive sexual behavior types, such as fantasy sex, can occur in moderation within a healthy sexual relationship, while others, such as exploitative sex, are highly problematic. That causes opinions about what constitutes addictive sexual behaviors vary among professionals.

In his book called “Don’t Call It Love,” sexual addiction expert Dr. Patrick Carnes describes 10 types of addictive sexual behaviors.

1. Fantasy sex
Fantasy sex is an obsession with sexual fantasies, rather than the reality of genuine sexual feelings and relationship. The fantasies can be so intense until preventing a person from developing genuine loving feelings, which are based on accepting the other person the way they really are.

Fantasizing helps us to find more about what you want from a lover. It is normal to fantasize or having certain expectations, that is, until we become blind and cannot distinguish well between fantasy and reality.

There are some signs that show if you have unrealistic expectations. For example, your expectations may be unreasonable if you have specific requirements regarding of your potential lover’s weight, height, appearance and taste that are not negotiable under any circumstances. You may also refuse a date with someone unless he or she makes a certain amount of money, or refuse someone that does not have similar taste and interests with you. It is also reasonable to expect someone who is adorable, exciting (at least for you), and always make you feel cherished and cared. Maybe, you are waiting for someone that shares the same basic view of the world with you, although not similar. And the most important is, that person must be willing to be in a relationship, whether that is only for a casual dating or marriage.

Eva Longoria is going to untie the knot with her husband, Tony Parker, after three years of marriage. NY Daily News reported that Longoria had been opened up about the divorce via Twitter.

“It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce,” she tweeted Wednesday. “We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness.”

Longoria, the famous star from “Desperate Housewives” serials, filed the divorce paper on Wednesday at the Los Angeles Superior Court, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Parker’s rumored infidelity has been said to be the major cause. Longoria said that her basketball player husband has been exchanging personal test messages for a year with a mutual female friend. The friend was said to be Erin Barry, wife of Brent Barry, who is a former team mate of Parker in San Antonio Spurs.
