Jessica Simpson is officially spoken for. The thirty years old singer now is engaged with her ex-NFL pro-footballer boyfriend, Eric Johnson. They have been dating since May, and they become inseparable since then. Before that, Simpson and Johnson were best friends. According to US Magazine, the couple became engaged on Thursday just after the magazine broke the news that Simpson’s ex-husband, Nick Lachey, proposed to longtime girlfriend, Vannessa Minnillo, whom he had been dating for about five years.

US Magazine also reported that Simpson happily showed off her engagement ring during her appearance with Johnson at Dillard’s at Oak Park Mall in Kansas City on Saturday. The ring is a ruby, diamond, and gold Neil Lane.

Simpson and Johnson both shared the same history of unsuccessful marriage. While Simpson is a widow of Nick Lachey, Johnson is a widower of Keri Johnson. When the couple was dating for the first time, Johnson was in the middle of divorce process. Five months later, the divorce was finalized.

Simpson’s brother in law, Pete Wentz, told People Magazine that Johnson “is a smart guy, and Jessica really loves him. Alex Stebbins, the twenty-one years old actress who appeared as a bondage pinup girl in Law and Order : SVU, accused Lady Gaga to steal her boyfriend. Luc Carl, a drummer and bartender, was dating Lady Gaga before they broke up and he met Stebbins in August 2009. According to Stebbins, the first thing Cal told her after they began dating was, “I had a very famous ex-girlfriend,” but Stebbins did not care.

About three months after the relationship had started, Stebbins said that Gaga was continuously calling and tecting Luc, begging him to let her back. At first, Luc ignored her, because Lady Gaga was a very jealous girlfriend and always turned such a simple talk into a fight. She would pick at him, and he could not take it. But apparently, Lady Gaga’s fame and fortune are proved to be the best weapons in winning him back.

“She can literally have anything she wants, and I had one thing that she could not have. That made her want it more,” Stebbins said.

But the study also found that girls were more likely to have another major depression. But although there was improvement after 36 weeks and complete recovery by two years, by five years, 47 percent patients suffered another major depression.

According to Dr. John Curry, a psychologist in the psychiatry department at the Duke University School of Medicine, there seem to be no treatment yet that really prevents depression recurrence, and that they have no indicator of how protected the person was against recurrence, while they were still in treatment. He also said that while girls are known to be more prone to initial depression, it was unclear why 57 percent of girls who recovered became depressed again, compared with 33 percent of boys. “Maybe it has to do with something in girls around the particular age that this is going on, stressful life events or the way people cope with stress,” said Dr. Curry.
