Many Wordpress beginner user asked how to upload and/or attach picture when they want to publish a post on their wordpress blogging platform, and I can’t find the answer of this simple question on Wordpress.org.
Here I give you tutorial on how to do that.
First tips to make your posting page goes faster is by removing it’s Visual Rich Editor, just open your WP (wordpress) admin panel, go to Users tab and you’ll release the tick on Personal Options that write : Use the visual rich editor when writing.

Now let’s start to post your picture. After you wrote you bla-bla on the Post form, go under and find the Upload form

Browse and find the picture that you want to upload, fill it’s Title and Description, then click Upload button on the right bottom of Upload Form

Good, now it’s attached as you can see it’s thumbnail shown, but it’s not inserted to your post yet. To attach your uploaded picture to your post, click the picture first. You will find there are some available options for you: Using Thumbnail, Not Linked, Send to editor, Delete, and Close Options.

Now try to click the Using Thumbnail options, it will change to Using Original, click again and it will back to Using Thumbnail options, means there are 2 options available for you, wether you want the picture to be shown as thumbnail (means it will be resized to be smaller) on your post, or use the original size of the picture. Choose which is the best for your post.
Next option is Not Linked, if you click on it, there will be another options: Linked to Image, Linked to Post and back again to Not Linked. Do you know what’s that options for? Not Linked means that later (after your picture attached to your post), when people click on the picture, it will not bring them to any link, simple say: not linked to other page.
Linked to Image options means that when the visitor click on your image on your post, it will brought them to the original picture, that’s Linked to Image means. Now how about Linked to Post? When the visitor click the picture, it will brought them to a page that similar to your post page, with the picture only on it, accompanied by the Description of the picture.
Yeah.. you can try them to get a better understanding than my explanation, I’m not a native english anyway

Ok now start to attach your picture, to your Post form. First see your Post form, and choose where will it shown on your post. Just click on your choosen area and back to the Upload Form, and click the Send to Editor option. It will generate the image html code to your Post form, do you see the code on it?
Now back to Upload form and click the Close Options button. And.. publish your post…
