So it wasn’t Justine Bieber Beckham, like the trio Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz Beckham had wished for their baby sister’s name as David told Jimmy Kimmel on a show which aired on April. The couple opts for the name Harper Seven instead of the name which resembles the teen pop star.

The family is now spending a quiet time together after the baby was born last Sunday morning in L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. According to People, the baby weighs 7 lbs and 10 oz. and was born in the seventh hour in the seventh month and on the seventh day of the week. Well that explains the name ‘Seven’ pretty much. Moreover, according to the sports fans, seven was David’s jersey number when he was still with the Manchester United and the English national team.

So, how about ‘Harper’? According to People, it is an old English name Victoria has always loved. Another reason for ‘Seven’ as the middle name, is because they believe it is a very lucky spiritual number. Well, Harper is one lucky baby girl to have a famous athlete and former Spice Girl member as parents. As for David and Vic, they consider her a blessing for being the first baby girl in the family.

A week after wearing his stylish black-tie along with his wife Victoria on the Royal Wedding in London, the soccer superstar David Beckham was involved in a minor car accident on the freeway in Southern California.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident was occurred near Torrance, California on Friday, May 6. Becham’s black Cadillac SUV was confirmed to be collided with the rear of a gold Mitsubishi in the carpool lane, as stated by Jennifer Connolly, a California Highway Patrol spokesperson.

As reported on Popeater, the gold car which was struck by Beckham’s car had reportedly broken down in the carpool lane of the busy 405 freeway when the collision occurred.

Together with Beckham, his twelve year old son Brooklyn was in the Cadillac at the time. None of them was injured by the accident, but the Mitsubishi’s driver experienced minor neck pain although he was wearing his seatbelt at the time. The driver was later taken to a hospital for treatment.
